Hexagon Gathers 150 Technology Professionals

FLORIANÓPOLIS, Brazil (17 September 2018) — Hexagon’s Agriculture division opened its headquarters office in Florianópolis on 14 September to 150 technology professionals. The event featured specialists in artificial intelligence, big data and internet of things.

The highlight was SK Reddy, CPO of Artificial Intelligence at Hexagon. SK who worked at Apple for six years as a product manager, talked about how developers can generate better results by using large volumes of data in more efficient processes. He highlighted the importance of predictive technology and expected advances in this area.

In the field, predictive technology and artificial intelligence are able to predict, for example, when a machine will need maintenance, avoiding huge losses. Adriano Naspolini, CTO of Hexagon Agriculture’s division, highlighted the interaction of the public in the Developers Experience. “It was the first time we had an event to exchange information with professionals from other companies, and it couldn’t have been more productive. The participants were there from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and were very interested in our solutions, questioned the speakers and interacted with Hexagon technologies,” he said.

Hexagon’s Agriculture division creates digital solutions that collect data from the field and turn it into information to optimise processes and increase profits of enterprise farms. “In Brazil there are farms with areas bigger than a thousand soccer fields and tractors that cost more than a Ferrari.
