Hexagon reorganises portfolio
Florianópolis, Brazil (January 11, 2019) —Hexagon's Agriculture division is constantly evolving and has reorganised the portfolio of the HxGN AgrOn platform to get closer to customers and their needs.
The restructuring performed by Hexagon makes the application and the specific use of each of the solutions developed by the company more evident and, at the same time, shows the potential integration between them in a precise manner.
"Our mission is to deliver digital solutions that connect and synchronise all agricultural processes, resulting in more productivity and profitability for farms,” said Bernardo de Castro, president of Hexagon’s Agriculture division. “Nothing is more coherent than to present them in a way that makes the purchase as simple and automatic as its application."
Hexagon’s Agriculture division offers technological tools that optimise all stages of agriculture, from cultivation planning to harvest transportation. The new structure presents the portfolio of the HxGN AgrOn platform in a standardised way tuned to each of the demands of the farms. The redesign will also facilitate the integration of new technologies that Hexagon will develop or acquire in the future. The platform is divided into three portfolios: AgrOn Cultivation, AgrOn Harvesting and AgrOn OEM. Each of them integrates product-based solutions that adapt to the customer's demands.
AgrOn Cultivation includes integrated and intelligent cultivation management solutions in agricultural and forestry businesses. With modular products, it has been specifically created so that growers have a detailed and accurate view of each stage of cultivation. The result is the maximisation of operational control and, consequently, savings and cost reduction in preparation and planting operations. The portfolio includes Planning & Optimisation, Monitoring & Operation Management, and Machine Automation solutions.
AgrOn Harvesting is a portfolio of integrated solutions for the management of harvest, transportation and logistics operations. Its use optimises the allocation of resources, reduces losses of raw material, synchronises the operations and guarantees quality and profitability in the process. With a modular structure, its products guarantee a complete management and logistic control solution, both in the strategic aspect and in the field operation. It also has Planning & Optimisation, Monitoring & Operation Management, and Machine Automation solutions.
AgrOn OEM is a portfolio of solutions for machine manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide. These include solutions for Machine Automation, Embedded Electronics, Remote Machine Support, Monitoring & Operation Management and Autonomous Vehicle Enablement. OEM customers also have the option of customising a solution according to their business strategies.
Hexagon's Agriculture division is the only supplier on the market that has a complete solution, ranging from optimised long-term planning to automation of operations and machines in the field. The goal is to synchronise activities in order to reduce time losses. The division is able to leverage leading Hexagon innovations from the fields of geopositioning, mapping, automation, manufacturing and engineering for the agricultural and forestry sectors.
