Hexagon takes latest innovations to the world's largest agricultural technology fair in Germany
Hexagon sells cutting-edge agricultural technology to 38 countries on five continents
Florianopolis, Brazil (September 02 , 2019) — Hexagon's Agriculture division will be present for the third time at Agritechnica 2019, the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery, which takes place on November 10-16 at the Hannover Exhibition Park in Germany. The biannual event is expected to bring together 458,000 visitors from 130 countries and 2,802 exhibitors.
Agritechnica is a great showcase for global agricultural technology companies and a meeting point for us to discuss the future of agriculture. Hexagon is in sync with this future, offering the market the most modern in technology," said Bernardo de Castro, president of Hexagon’s Agriculture division.
During the event, Hexagon will introduce the AgrOn Ti7 display with ISOBUS communication. This is a communication standard that solves the incompatibility between tractors, implements and computers, regardless of brand or model. According to Castro, the goal is to ensure synchronisation between all technological solutions, making the processes more efficient. Another distinguishing feature is the remote service, which makes troubleshooting quick and economical due to time savings by reducing technician travel.
AgrOn Auto Steering will also be featured on the company's booth at Agritechnica. Its function is to assist in the navigation of tractors, ensuring good alignment, reducing overpassing, optimising production, and making better use of inputs such as pesticides and fuel oil to provide better performance and greater productivity and profitability. Today, Hexagon is the supplier to large agricultural companies, especially in the grain, sugar-energy and forestry sectors. These include São Martinho, one of the largest sugarcane mills in the world.
Hexagon's greatest differential is the orchestration of processes. Using the Planning & Optimisation solution it is possible, for example, to outline a cultivation strategy aiming long term goals and the ideal consumption of resources with the lowest cost. The benefits are reduced waste and more agility in operations. With the Monitoring & Operation Management solution, the producer gains efficiency in process management. AgrOn Control Room receives data from the field in real-time. Thus, managers can view maps and reports, with alerts of irregularities in relation to the planning of cultivation and harvesting, to allow a timely intervention.
Hexagon will also bring all products from its Machine Automation solution to Agritechnica, highlighting the AgrOn Auto Steering, AgrOn Guidance, AgrOn Fertilisation Control, AgrOn Sprayer Control, AgrOn Planting Control and AgrOn Planting Monitor, and the additional Remote Access module. All of these have built-in sensors and actuators of the latest generation, essential technologies to optimise operations. The result is economy and cost savings.
"Our solutions connect the field, equipment and people, enabling a true paradigm shift in agriculture," said Castro.
