Hexagon launches the HxGN AgrOn ISOBUS Display and expands implementation of the international protocol through embedded technology

20 July 2020

Florianópolis, Brazil (July 20, 2020) — Hexagon's Agriculture division has developed the HxGN AgrOn ISOBUS Display, a new solution that will bring this international protocol through embedded technology closer to the agricultural and forestry sectors, in addition to machinery manufacturers. . The product establishes communication standards between displays, tractors and implements, making the exchange of information compatible, regardless of the machinery brands.

“The standardisation of communication in agricultural machinery is the future of the sector” said Bernardo de Castro, President of Hexagon's Agriculture division. “As a unique player that combines machine automation, precision agriculture and agricultural operations management software, regardless of manufacturers or specific tools, our role is to bring embedded solutions that allow everyone to adapt to the market.”

“This machine control product guarantees efficient performance and quality, displaying results in a more visual way for the operator since it will be a single screen to follow. We cut the excess of embedded devices and unnecessary connection cables, reducing operational complexity,” Castro added.

Understand product performance

Before the ISOBUS protocol, each manufacturer used its own solutions and language. Consequently, the adaptation was also specific. “If on a single tractor, there were three solutions of different brands, three different adaptations would be necessary. AgrOn ISOBUS Display simplifies everything in a single terminal,” noted Castro.

The system has two functionalities: Universal Terminal (UT), which allows machines to operate an implement with any terminal, capable of working with different accessories, and the Task Controller (TC), which records and provides information on operations.

In addition, the product can be combined with the other products of the Machine Control solution that our displays already run, such as AgrOn Auto Steering and AgrOn Planting Control. AgrOn ISOBUS Display will also be available to customers who already have Hexagon equipment.

AgrOn ISOBUS Display also has an optional remote access module for technical assistance and calibrations. "This way, it is possible to monitor the machine from a distance, bringing more agility and efficiency to the service. This reduces the costs with assistance and improves the control of activities,” said Castro.
