Hexagon Brings Agriculture 4.0 to ConBAP 2018

FLORIANOPOLIS, Brazil (September 17th) — Hexagon’s Agriculture division, will showcase technology digital solutions for agricultural integration during the Brazilian Congress of Precision Agriculture - ConBAP 2018, from October 2-4, in Curitiba, Brazil.

Technology is present in 67% of the agricultural properties in Brazil, according to a 2017 survey by the Executive Secretariat of the Brazilian Precision Agriculture Commission (CBAP). The challenge is to digitally integrate all the processes in the field, from soil preparation to harvesting logistics.

During the Congress, Hexagon will showcase the Onboard Controllers Ti5 and Ti7, with Auto Steering. The Onboard Controllers monitor and control several agricultural processes suchas fertilisation and pulverisation of the planted area. They use sensors to measure variables, transmit to servers in the cloud, and analyse data using machine learning techniques. The Auto Steering function helps navigating tractors, ensuring alignment and reducing overpass. The result is more precision and increased productivity.
